Now, I'm not one who avidly celebrates holidays, but Christmas really does hold a special place in my heart. Presents, amazing sweet breads, and tamales- what's not to love! What I love most however are those good old-timesy holiday tunes.

My all time favorite Christmas song
Bless you Mariah- The vintage you made such amazing music

 I am utterly disgusted

DISGUSTED

Earlier I was reading up on the 2002 VMA incident in which Michael Jackson was presented with an "award". I'm sure many people are familiar with this incident. I myself remember quite fondly how Michael was "mistakenly" presented with an award-to his  knowledge- for Artist Of The Millenium. At the time, I was just as confused as the rest of the viewer's who were tuned in. To my understanding he was to be presented with an AWARD for some title but when Britney Spears(who's outfit that night was a hot mess) was presenting Michael, she failed to recognize that it was an award he was receiving and instead turned it into some sort of Birthday Present, due to the fact that it was coincidently his birthday that night as well.

I think we all know what happened next; second-hand embarrassment ensues. I felt really bad for Michael and perhaps, just as confused as him.
It's now resurfaced, after his untimely death, that the whole event was infact a setup on MTV's behalf.
Now let me just say, MTV, you have not done one good thing in the past 10 years and my learning of this incident that you enabled really just disgusts me.

Here's a quick rundown of what happened:

MTV: Michael we want to give you an "Artist of The Millenium" Award.
MJ: *gets into dispute with Sony*
MTV: We're gonna switch it to a "present" instead of an award to make Michael look like a fool and make it look as if he really is some crazy old person
MJ: *passes away*
MTV: Okay, we lied you guys, MJ did know he was getting an award and we lied to the public to make him look foolish.

WTF
Like, honestly, wtf
How, and why MTV would EVER pull such a stunt on a man who has only been kind, gentle, giving, and self-less. And not to mention a man who brought RATINGS on your channel and broke barriers where barriers had been placed by your racist asses. This is once again just another example of how cruel the media and the industry treated Michael.

*sigh*
I just don't even know anymore.
And oh the irony when MTV tries to pull some lame ass tribute during their VMA's this year.

Michael, I'm so sorry you had to deal with such rubbish when you were here : /

I'm sorry but, Idk what is wrong with me

I can't stop crying over Michael Jackson's death. And it's ridiculous, I mean I didn't know him but I sure did grow up with his music. I even had a short panic attack for a while there.
I suppose my reaction is due to the fact that his life was so full of turmoil and what not. I remember hearing about his child molestation accusations and not really having an opinion of it. It didn't change my opinion of what a phenomenal artist he was. I mean, we'll never know if he truly was guilty or not. So why judge. I want to remember him for what he accomplished.

Since I saw the post that broke the news on ONTD, I had a sick feeling he wasn't going to make it.
Now I just feel so sad for him. At least he is at Peace, wherever after this life that is.

I'll never forget going to my friend Elyssa's house when I was 10, and listening to his music on her bedroom floor, whilst Elyssa attempted to dance like him. I remember she and I and some other people watched all of his videos one night.
And I'll never forget the time I first heard "You Rock My World" for the first time.

This picture also make me feel deeply saddened. JFC, the man looked so happy and at ease LAST NIGHT!
